An interview with Lee Selbo: Bespoke Bridging Finance — TAB U Podcast LIVE, S3 E15

TAB U host Katrina Hindley was joined by Lee Selbo, founder of Bespoke Bridging Finance, for a wide-ranging conversation on risk, judgement and lending against property.

Lee believes there is no harm in making a mistake in life, as long as you learn from it — a philosophy that has shaped four decades of private lending decisions taken in-house, case by case.

In the episode Lee talks through how Bespoke approaches enquiries that other lenders have already turned away: reading the borrower and the exit rather than a scorecard, restructuring transactions so they become fundable, and moving at a speed that only a decision maker with their own capital can offer.

The conversation also covers the origins of Bespoke, the discipline of saying no, and why difficult loans are not necessarily bad loans — they are usually just badly structured.
